About

We built the mirror.

SyntheticPulse was founded on a simple idea: you shouldn’t need to recruit, incentivize, and manage human panels to understand human opinion.

The problem

Traditional consumer research is slow, expensive, and riddled with bias. Surveys suffer from social desirability bias — people say what makes them look good, not what they actually think. Focus groups are dominated by the loudest voice in the room. Panels take weeks to recruit, and by the time you have answers, the market has already moved. Reach for a nationally representative sample and you are looking at six-figure price tags and twelve-week timelines.

The result is that most product teams make decisions on gut feel or convenience samples. They launch features nobody asked for, price products wrong, and write ad copy that misses the mark — not because they lack the data, but because getting the right data is too slow and too expensive to fit into a modern product development cycle.

We asked: what if you could simulate a thousand consumers instead of surveying one at a time? What if each simulated consumer had a consistent personality, a memory of past interactions, and the ability to reason about new products the way a real person would? And what if you could run that simulation in an afternoon, not a quarter?

That question led to the first SyntheticPulse prototype in early 2025. After 14 months of development, hundreds of agents running in production, and thousands of simulated conversations across dozens of research categories, we opened our beta in April 2026. The results so far have exceeded our expectations, but we are only at the beginning of understanding what synthetic consumer intelligence can do.

The team

SN

Sorin Nistor

CEO & Co-Founder

Spent a decade leading consumer research at a top-five market research firm, managed over 500 studies across 30 countries, and became convinced there had to be a faster way. Designed the first SyntheticPulse opinion architecture on a whiteboard in his apartment in Cluj.

RD

Raluca Dumitru

CTO & Co-Founder

Built multi-agent orchestration systems from scratch, leading a team that scaled agent infrastructure from 10 to over 2,000 concurrent agents. At SyntheticPulse she architected the swarm execution engine, the consensus protocol, and the memory layer that gives each agent a persistent identity.

VM

Victor Marin

Head of Research

Computational social scientist with a PhD in quantitative sociology from Universitatea Babe&ș-Bolyai. Designs the opinion formation models that drive agent behavior and runs the human validation studies that measure our accuracy.

AP

Anca Petrescu

Head of Product

Former product lead at a Bucharest-based B2B SaaS company. Turns swarm complexity into simple, usable interfaces that researchers actually want to use every day.

Our approach

We don’t believe synthetic consumers will replace all human research. We believe they augment it — making teams faster, cheaper, and more creative in the early stages of exploration. When you need statistical certainty, run a real panel. When you need directional insight at 100x speed, launch a swarm.

We publish our benchmark results transparently, showing exactly how synthetic responses correlate with real human responses across categories. No black boxes, no marketing fluff.
